- My Review: While visiting my Grandparents, I tasted this one before eating a meal. For a mass-produced wine under $10, I was not expecting to be blown away, and I wasn’t. Because this wine was chilled, the flavors that I smelled and tasted were fairly muted, but I received the typical oak-y, green apple aromas from this chardonnay. This wine tasted fairly crisp with a buttery vanilla taste that overwhelmed the other flavors present. This wine was extremely smooth, to the point where it lacked almost any complexity, and was really bland. Not my best chardonnay experience, but for $7.00 I wasn’t expecting that!
