- My Review: This was the second wine that I tasted while visiting my Grandparents, which we ate with our meal. I haven’t been exposed to a tremendous amount of Cabernet Sauvignons thus far, so I was happy to taste this central Californian wine. The aroma was very black berry, currant, and coffee. The taste wild mildly tannic (less so than other Cabernet Sauvignons that I have had the pleasure to taste), with a dark red fruit flavor on the palate. This wine was pretty smooth, but perhaps could have had slightly better balance, as it lacked some of the complexity I yearned for. All in all, I wasn’t too disappointed by this wine.
